Love theme from the 1997 film adaption of Dan Wakefield's influential 1969 coming-of-age novel set in 1950's Indianapolis (whew.). This is the original approach, not used (sadly) in the film. TB: "It was written as a Chet Baker-type ballad. Then they decided they wanted an uptempo treatment." Written by Tim Brickley and the film's Music Supervisor (and current Sirius XM "Deep Tracks" host) Greg Roberson. Produced and engineered by Tim Brickley.

Lyrics

TANGLED AND TEMPTED
(Timothy Brickley, David Rheins & Greg Roberson)

From the moment you walked in,
I knew you were a dream come true.
Now, I’m longing for romance,
though I do not stand a chance with you, dear,
tangled and tempted by love.

The moment I held you,
I knew you were meant for me.
Just to know the bliss,
of a single kiss, and you, dear,
tangled and tempted by love

Now, I’m under your spell,
when I close my eyes I know darn well,
It’s you.

From the moment I saw you,
I knew you were a dream come true.
And until that day, I’ll stay,
forever in the sway of you, dear,
tangled and tempted,
so clearly unexpected,
tangled and tempted in love.
