Alternate version of the "Be apart." cut. In retrospect, probably should have been the version on the album. Basic track engineered by the mighty neighborhood-kid-done-good Chip Matthews. Happy to see it finally getting to see the light of day on the upcoming re-issue. Jeff Chapin on drums. "Yet another rockin' yet melancholy rumination on everything that keeps us apart, even in our closest of human moments..." (Lon Ohnder).

Glass Stations ("Be apart." alternate version, 1995) / TIM BRICKLEY AND THE BLEEDING HEARTS

"Damn, ain't life just one big circle? I buried my mind in a smoky pillow."

GLASS STATIONS

(Timothy Brickley & David Rheins)

Damn, if life ain’t one big circle.

I buried my mind in a smoky pillow.

Walking around in a fucking trance.

Cold sweat, good morning, one more dance.

I almost feel like a real person,

looking thru the glass at the sunny station.

I can almost see some sort of relation

between me and those people on the street.

Here aboard my painted perspective

surrounded by snapshots, friends in frames.

No conversation, a bit unconnected.

I bet I could almost name their names.

    Glass stations.

    Glass stations.

    Glass stations.

It's been two long years and twenty four hours,

living in a room without a lease.

Two failed loves, no dependents,

I really have nothing left to say, except

Damn, if life ain't one big circle.

I buried my mind in a smoky pillow.

Walking around in a fucking trance.

Cold sweat, good morning, one more dance.
