If you’re down in the ghetto

or out on the farm

whether you’re deep in depression

or merely not moving along

There’s something I have to tell you

my motto, a real truth

it takes muscle to beat they system

you got to stand up to stand out

Now pleasure isn’t easy

and a good time comes at a cost

A lover means conflict

But conflicts aren’t all lost

You gotta break eggs to eat breakfast

Kill cows to eat meat

You’ve got to break flesh to make babies

Break sweat to beat the heat

I get tired of impatience

anxious just sitting around

God helps those ambitious

And I won’t be left out
